1. General
1.1 Purpose of the WWF-Australia Fundraising Lottery
- The Lottery is conducted by World Wide Fund for Nature Australia trading as WWF-Australia (ABN 62 118 664 298, 'WWF-Australia' to raise funds for its operation as a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
- WWF-Australia’s activities and how it has pursued its charitable purpose is set out in its annual report which is available on our website

WWF-Australia Fundraising Lottery is authorised under the following licences and permits:

1.3 Terms and Conditions
The following WWF-Australia Fundraising Lottery Terms and Conditions (Terms and Conditions) apply to all entries into and/or prizes awarded in a draw. By entering the Lottery, you agree to comply with and abide by these Terms and Conditions and reasonable decisions of WWF-Australia.
WWF-Australia reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time, subject to State/Territory lottery licencing approval, by posting such changes on our website lottery.wwf.org.au and may notify you in writing of the changes. If you do not agree to the changes, you may request cancellation and refund of your entry for the draw in accordance with our Refund Policy outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
2. Prize
- The Major Prize awarded to the Prize Winner (Prize) is:
- If the Prize Winner provides proof of residency with a postcode in the State of QLD, ACT, and NT: $50,000AUD, to be transferred to the eligible winner by EFT transfer to an Australian bank account in Australian Dollars, or
- If the Prize Winner provides proof of residency with a postcode in the State of Victoria or NSW: $50,000AUD in pool allocated gold bullion*.
2a Early Bird Promotion
- One Early Bird Prize will be drawn from Tickets that have been purchased during the Early Bird Promotion Period, being 11:00am AEST, 13 July 2026 to 11:59 AEST on 6 August, 2026 (Qualifying Ticket).
- Early Bird Prize: A Koala AU Operations Pty Ltd [Koala] voucher to the value of $2,000AUD. Terms and Conditions apply.
- The winner of the Early Bird Prize (Early Bird Prize Winner) must provide proof of age and residency as per the Eligibility Criteria Terms and Conditions
- Each Qualifying Ticket is a chance to win
- Images and props used to convey the Prize are for illustration purposes only and do not depict the exact prize detail or form part of the Prize.
3. Conditions of Entry
3.1 Eligible Person
Entry in a Draw is open to Eligible Persons only.
An Eligible Person must:
- be a resident of the States of NSW, QLD, VIC, ACT;
- be of 18 years of age or older; and
- have an Australian bank account for which they can produce a current bank statement.
The following individuals are NOT Eligible Persons:
- Residents of the States of NT, WA, SA, TAS or outside of Australia;
- Members of WWF-Australia Board, Governors and WWF-Australia employees, all other parties (incl. their employees or agents) associated with data access in connection with the draw administration (WWF-Australia Personnel);
- A spouse or former spouse, de facto partner or former de facto partner, child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, or stepsibling of WWF-Australia Personnel.
3.2 Eligible Entries
Eligible Entries must be made by Eligible Persons and completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The following are NOT Eligible Entries:
- Incomplete or indecipherable entries;
- Entries made elsewhere other than directly through WWF-Australia’s designated platform; or
- Entries that are altered, reconstructed or tampered.
An Eligible Person is an Entrant when they make an Eligible Entry.
It is the responsibility of all Entrants to ensure they are Eligible Persons. By entering into the Lottery, the Entrant represents and warrants that they are an Eligible Person.
3.3 Other conditions
- Entrants consent to WWF-Australia using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are the Prize Winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Lottery (including the fact that the winner was successful) and the mission and activities of WWF-Australia.
- WWF-Australia reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who it has reason to believe have:
- Submitted an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions,
- Otherwise breached these Terms and Conditions; or
- Engaged in unlawful conduct or engaged in practices to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Lottery.
- If the Entrant is disqualified, all Tickets purchased by the Entrant will be cancelled with refund.
- Errors and omissions will be accepted at WWF-Australia’s discretion. Failure by WWF-Australia to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
4. Tickets
4.1 When can I buy Tickets?
11:00am AEST, 13 July 2026 to 11:59pm AEST, 14 October 2026, unless sold out prior.
Credit card payments must be received by 11:59pm AEST, 14 October 2026 to be entered into the draw.
4.2 How much are the Tickets?
Tickets are $30 each, or $25 each when purchased in a bundle of two or more. Bundled tickets must be purchased in one transaction.
4.3 Where to buy Tickets?
To enter, Eligible Person must purchase one or more Tickets from the website lottery.wwf.org.au.
4.4 How many Tickets will there be in total?
WWF-Australia is permitted to sell up to 8,000 tickets in this Lottery.
4.5 Can I transfer the Ticket to another person or purchase the Ticket as a gift?
No, the Tickets cannot be purchased for another person and are not transferrable.
4.6 Can you amend a Ticket for me?
Once a Ticket has been issued, the associated details (including name and address) cannot be amended or updated. However, Entrants may request ticket cancellation and issuance of a new Ticket with amended or updated details, provided the request is made before 2:00pm (AEST) Friday 9 October 2026.
4.7 Can I get a refund for my Tickets?
Tickets may be returned and cancelled before 2:00pm (AEST) Friday 9 October 2026 for a full refund of the ticket price. All tickets not returned by the closing date will be valid for the draw and therefore able to win a prize so cannot be refunded. WWF-Australia may at its discretion and on a case-by-case basis, refund after the Lottery has been drawn.
4.8 Is a Ticket purchase tax-deductible?
According to the ATO website a person cannot claim raffle or art union tickets as gifts or donations. Please obtain professional tax advice if unsure.
5. Draw
5.1 Draw Time
- Major Prize Draw: 2:00pm (AEST) Friday 16 October 2026.
- Early Bird Prize will be drawn immediately after the Major Prize.

5.4 Result
- The Lottery is a game of chance. Each Ticket has equal weighting regardless of the purchase price.
- One (1) winner will be drawn at random from all eligible tickets sold (Prize Winner).
- The Prize Winner will be contacted by their supplied phone number(s) and email. All Prize winners are notified in writing within 7 days from the draw.
- Results are published online at lottery.wwf.org.au on the day of the draw immediately after the draw is completed.
5.5 Redraw
- Where a Prize Winner’s entry is not deemed to be an Eligible Entry, a redraw will be carried out at 2:00pm (AEST) Tuesday 19 January 2027.
- Redraw will be carried out at Draw Location using the Draw Mechanism.
- The redraw will select a new winner and the new winner will be notified within 7 business days. The prize will be awarded to the new winner.
- Where WWF-Australia is unable contact a Prize Winner or any prize remains unclaimed, WWF-Australia will use reasonable effort to continue attempts to contact the Prize Winner at reasonable intervals.
- Where WWF-Australia is unable contact a Prize Winner or any prize remains unclaimed, the requirements of the state/territory of the first-draw Prize Winner’s residency will be followed, as below:

- NSW & ACT: Should the prize remain unclaimed by 2:00pm (AEST) Monday 18 January 2027, a redraw will be carried out at 2:00pm (AEST) Tuesday 19 January 2027.
- QLD & NT: Where the prize is not claimed by 2:00pm (AEST) Monday 18 October 2027, the proceeds for disposal of the Prize will be paid to WWF-Australia to be used for its charitable purposes. However, this does not affect a person's right to claim a Prize during the period for claiming a prize, which is 3 years from the day the prize winner is decided.
- VIC: Should the prize remain unclaimed by 2:00pm (AEST) Monday 18 October 2027, the proceeds for disposal of the Prize will be paid to the treasurer for payment into the consolidated fund.
WWF-Australia reserves the right to:
- Cancel any draw at any time for any reason and disqualify entries for non-compliance with the Terms and Conditions, and
- Withhold any payment to you where we reasonably suspect that your purchase of Tickets is associated with fraudulent, dishonest, irregular or illegal activities, circumstances that may compromise the integrity of a Draw or where failure to do so would be in breach of any laws.
6. Delivery of Prize
- The Prize will be delivered to the winner within 28 days of the draw.
- As condition of accepting the prize, the winner must provide all details reasonably required by WWF-Australia and facilitate taking possession of the prize, including but not limited to providing personal information, and sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or Supplier in their absolute discretion, such as a legal release and indemnity form.
- Where the Prize is awarded as pool allocated gold bullion:
- The winner will be set up with an ABC Gold Bullion account with the prize money to be held as Pool Allocated Gold Bullion.
- The winner must apply to become a customer of ABC Bullion and go through ABC Bullion’s onboarding process which involves Customer Identification: Know Your Customer (KYC) checks as required by Australian Law.
- The winner will have the option to store the Gold Bullion with ABC Bullion, or sell all or part of the Gold Bullion back to ABC Bullion at any time.
- Gold Bullion is valued at purchase price on the date of purchase. Selling costs and market fluctuations apply. The Buy Back price of Gold Bullion will be different to the Sell price of Gold.
- The Buy and Sell Prices for Gold are listed live and updated on the ABC Bullion website every 5 minutes and most accurately reflect the current market prices.
- Gold selling costs and market variations apply and are the responsibility of the winner.
7. Privacy and Publication
- Personal information including the Entrant’s name, address, telephone number and email will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this Lottery. This may, for this purpose, require disclosure of such information to other third parties, including, but not limited to, agents, contractors, service providers, and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Validity of an entry is conditional on providing this information.
- Please note in the following occasions your personal information will be disclosed:
- Your first name and surname initial, ticket number, and State of residence will be published on the WWF-Australia Fundraising Lottery website in the event of a winning ticket; and
- The Prize Winner agrees to participate in promotional activities associated with winning, including, but not limited to, being interviewed, and photographed.
- In addition to any use that may be outlined in WWF-Australia’s Privacy Policy
- WWF-Australia may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the Entrant’s personal information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Entrant.
8. Liability
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, WWF-Australia (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, in connection with the Lottery, including but not limited to:
- Any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under WWF-Australia’s control);
- Any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference;
- Any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of WWF-Australia;
- Any financial consequence (including tax liability) incurred by a Prize Winner or Entrant;
- Taking and/or using of the Prize.
9. Dispute Resolution
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Entrant.
- Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions which cannot be resolved by good faith negotiations between the Entrant and WWF-Australia may be referred to mediation or to arbitration. However, WWF-Australia reserves, at its absolute discretion, the right to instigate legal proceedings prior to negotiation, arbitration or mediation against any individual, organisation or entity, who in WWF-Australia’s opinion has acted in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
